A simple design that once made history
When it will stop, nobody knows
Fulfilling its purpose of bestowing mystery

Slowly creeping its way up, then slowly back down
Occasionally instilling fear
Yet not a soul departs with a frown
But disembarks happily with a loved one near

The final destination is always the same
Although the time to dismount is unknown
The feeling resembles that of winning a game
The prize a memory of a lifetime for you to own

My friend Misako, brought this beautiful gift for me from her native Japan. The first image is a gift paper pouch, then there is a white box with gold pattern. Inside of the box is a mirror encased in silk with butterflies. I refuse to use it, preserving it from wear and tear.
