Best Gifts For Your Besties, Under $50-

I am in love with these Multitude Hair Ties in Neutral from Anthropologie. They are very comfortable and add that special sparkle to your bestie's hair for the holidays.

Home Made Winter by Yvette Van Boven is simply amazing. It has tons of delicious + easy recipes that are very appropriate for the season. I especially love the hand-made feel to it: it is filled with hand-drawings and hand-written notes. Plus the photos are amazing and make you feel part of the book.

Your bestie would be thrilled to get this beautiful Mistletoe General Store Candle. Its vintage-mirror finish will add a great sparkle to any decor and I can see the jar being reused for years after the candle is done.

The light vanilla-scented lip gloss and the gold-glitter nailpolish duo, West End Wonderland by Butter London, will make you feel festive let you glow though the holidays. Click here to see my favorite ideas of makeup and nails.

Seaberry Restorative Body Cream by Fresh is the best moisturizer out there. It is light-scented and long-lasting.

Anthropologie Holiday Workshop

Last week I attended a Holiday Display Workshop at our local Anthropologie store. It turned out to be a true Anthro-Wonderland experience (with some shopping after). It was simply amazing to be part of their creative team and help out at all of the three workstations:

  • starry silver garlands - those will be hung all over the store as part of the holiday decor
  • snow-dusted hooves prints - will be glued to floors to create trails throughout the store
  • cupcake station - for the upcoming coffee shop display

At the end each participant received one of these cute mittens as a thank you token:

Thrift Finds in Blue

Thrift shopping is a great way to find something unexpected, something you never imagined you'd discover. Just the other weekend I made a stop at the Blue Elephant RVA to say hello to my friend Jessica, and I found this beautiful Italian glass bottle. The color is so vibrant, it almost glows, in a cool sort of way. I added this piece to the small collection of turquoise-blue bunch I have been displaying on my fireplace.

The Portrait of a woman is a find I took a long time to search for. I was looking for a portrait, something of a certain art style and of course something I could afford. After I saw this painting (at TheEAShop) I fell in love with its style, composition, and the blue + red that the artist used so masterfully to create such powerful piece. It was my first real-deal artwork purchase. It is oil on canvas from around 1950s - 1960s. I adore the colors and how well they work together!

Simply Flowers

Helping Rhea Calpeno of Photosynthesis is always a delight. This past Saturday I was lucky to be part of her floral design collective, working alongside wonderful creative people. The preparations were made for two different weddings, and as the gorgeous floral arrangements were leaving the studio to go to their destinations, I snapped some photos of leftover flowers. Simple, beautiful, breathtaking.

Friday Arts & Crafts: My Winter Pattern

I just recently designed this pattern. The inspiration came from traveling home this summer. It reminds me of Ukraine. I chose this combination of white outline against dark-grey background. It resulted in winter-ish motif. Adding some dots made it look like it is snowing.
