A Trip To Terrain

It's been a while since I wanted to share these photos with you. Coming back from Philadelphia home in late March of this year, we made a stop at one of my favorite places (!) - Terrain. Located on a former farmland about an hour south of the city, this place is truly magic. If you have never been, take my word for it, especially if you are, like me, a huge fan of Anthropologie (both are part of Urban Outfitters Inc.) They carry everything from tools and furniture for your garden to garden-inspired housewares, cookbooks + teas + honey, clothing + accessories, as well as tons of amazing soaps and body lotions. I have yet to dine at their restaurant adjacent to the shop. I hear the food is amazing and most of the produce comes from their own garden and nearby farms. The restaurant is particularly famous for throwing big dinner parties and special events. Some day...

Store Displays: Anthropologie

Anthropologie does amazing store displays, best in my own opinion. Every time I am in Philly I take lots of photos. Below are some of the ones I took last weekend. Enjoy!

P.S.: If you have not visited their Philadelphia location, it is worth while making a trip, believe me! The building on its own is simply magic, with its magnificent stained glass windows and cupola above the grand spiral staircase, plus the beautiful mosaic fireplace and the highly-detailed ceiling covered by oval medallions of portraits, in what once used to be the main living room of this single family mansion. The entire concept of discovery around the brand fits perfectly in the old building's setting: every corner you turn, there is something new and unexpected. You will never want to leave that place.

Ferris Wheel

Standing next to the Ferris Wheel I used to ride in my childhood, much taller than I used to be, I felt nostalgic.

A simple design that once made history
When it will stop, nobody knows
Fulfilling its purpose of bestowing mystery

Slowly creeping its way up, then slowly back down
Occasionally instilling fear
Yet not a soul departs with a frown
But disembarks happily with a loved one near

The final destination is always the same
Although the time to dismount is unknown
The feeling resembles that of winning a game
The prize a memory of a lifetime for you to own
