Monday Style: Snake Jewelry

Ever since I included this beautiful Snake Coil Ring from Odette New York in my recent Nature-Inspired Jewelry post, I have been obsessing over the snake jewelry. I even called my Mom and inquired about the sterling silver snake ring she used to have when I was little: it had a small turquoise gem as the snake's eye...
Snake jewelry adds a touch of tough-chic to any outfit. It is sort of the scull & bones of the modern day, it's rock'n'roll. The jewelry I've included in this post is a wide variety of styles for different tastes and budgets.

Python Diamond Ring

Set of Mixed Bangles

Black Mamba Diamond Necklace

I wanted to include these beautiful pieces of jewelry in this Monday's post. The warmer in gets outside the more time I want to spend in my garden, the more attention I pay to nature waking up form its long winter sleep.

Brand New Week: Button Up!

I love when simple everyday objects become inspiration for beautiful jewelry. Jennifer Jones of Australian company Have You Met Miss Jones nails it down: both design & scale of each piece are just right to make bold statement. Miss Jones ships to the US, so hurry, there is still time left before Christmas to purchase that perfect gift!

Monday Style: Brand New Wardrobe

It is Monday. The end of Daylight Saving Time makes days seem noticeably shorter. The chill is in the air, lots of it... It is time to brighten up the wardrobe with items that will keep you happy, warm and super-stylish. I am so happy to see the variety of styles this fall's fashion has to offer! These are my favorite selections for this week:
Lulu Blue/Gray Hat from Line Collection by Claudia Schulz
Harlequinade Necklace from Anthropologie
Swizzle Socks in Gold from Marc By Marc Jacobs
Leather Wedge Lace-Up Shoes by Burberry
Linea Cropped Cardi in Lilac from Anthropologie
Tile-Quilted Pencil Skirt by Charlie & Robin

Before & After: Salvaged Beauty

I found this silver-plated tray at a local thrift store and could not resist buying it for a total of $3.00. A little bit of Tarn-X magic brought it back to life. With its elegant lines and shiny finish the tray adds glamour to my bathroom.

Honey Bee Earrings

It takes a lot of patience to embroider a little bee on a tiny swatch of fabric. I received these earrings as a gift from my classmate at the Visual Arts Center, Ginny Hass. I fell in love with these the second I saw them. They are so simple, yet very unique and truly adorable! Cannot wait to see Ginny expanding her new line of jewelry!

Turquoise Obsession

WARNING:
These items are not intended on being put together. The color is very powerful, and to be used sparingly. If you sit on that chair wearing those shorts, you may blend in so much - no one will notice you.

Best In Show II

Last Sunday I attended Spring Bada-Bing Craft Show organized by the Richmond Craft Mafia. It was hosted at Plant Zero and was a well-organized event, with thoughtfully selected local designers and craftsmen.

These crocheted dolls are absolutely charming.
I especially love The Fox

I adore the shape, the pattern and the color combination of this purse.

When I saw this bag, it reminded me of my frined Jessica of Blue Elephant who rides her cool red scooter everywhere.

Pottery by Adam Paulek

Great selection of totes featuring vintage dress patterns dating from 1930s to 1970s. Very unique and retro. Made by Hilary Martin of Haute Hilary: (HauteHilary@aol.com)

Would you like to have your eggs sunny side up? And would you like to wear them as your earrings? Then the Inedible Jewellry shop is right for you. Made by sisters Jessica and Susan Partain, the selection varies from doughnuts and cupcakes to slices of carrot cake and watermelon. Very cool and with a great sence of humor!

Neutral Territory

Over the past few years I have managed to purchase tons of shirts, pants and jackets in various horizontal or vertical stripes and plaid. I love to combine them, but try to manage my looks without overdoing it. Well, sometimes I do overdo it (he-he). Recently I found myself leaning towards neutral accessories. I am thrilled to admit they help to tie it all together, especially when I have one or two (or three!) bold patterns going on at the same time. Here are some of my picks:

'Wellington' Goatskin Leather Satchel & Robin Hat

Marabou Feather Vest & OPI Nail Lacquer: Barefoot in Barcelona

Glittering Bean Necklace & The Stars Come Out Oxfords
